The Advancement Centre provides a range of counselling and psychometric services to help people needing psychological assessments of all types, a medico-legal opinion or indeed face any situation where psychological assessment and opinion is required.
We assist those who for personal, professional or legal reasons require a psychological assessment.
This may be for an upcoming law case, immigration complications, neuropsychological reasons, for instance, or to help anyone suffering from psychological difficulties requiring assessment: adults or children.
We also provide detailed written assessments for use in public proceedings such as tribunals, court trials or insurance assessments and claims.
Our psychological assessments are made using structured interviews by our staff of experienced psychologists. We use internationally recognised, standardised, validated assessment tools to analyse the results. In this way we are able to focus on the key issues at play, be it a medical/psychological profile or analysis, or a legal matter.
Our assessments are of value in identifying all the psychological issues bearing on your case, including past trauma, whether psychological or physiological, and cognitive difficulties such as memory loss, dyslexia etc. Our professional psychologists are trained to deal sensitively with matters which may be acutely distressing.
Following your assessment you will receive a detailed and meticulous report, together with a copy for your advisers, as appropriate.
Whether you are looking for something pro-active such as learning advice, Mensa membership or information about your learning style, or whether you need support in a legal or immigration case, these services are designed to provide you with the correct information going forward.
These services are all offered at our Lower North Shore centre, although in some cases, and if appropriate, we may be able to conduct assessments at another location in accordance with your needs.
